The Difference & Selection Considerations Of Some Weight Sensors

The safety monitoring system of cranes: load moment Indicator limiter, overload limiter, etc., will use weight sensors when selecting models, but there are quite a lot of types of weight sensors. What is the difference between them?

1. Commonly used side pressure weight sensor: as shown in the figure below (the left is weite's model, the right is the installation case from Weite), this type is used on a hoisting mechanism with a dead end, and the hoisting weight is monitored through the tension of the wire rope.

2. Pin-type weight sensor: as shown in the figure below, it is used to replace the pin of the fixed pulley, and the lifting weight is monitored by the downward pull of the wire rope on the fixed pulley.

3. Bearing seat type weight sensor: As shown in the figure below, it is installed between the hoist bearing shaft and shell brackets, and the lifting weight is monitored by the downward pressure of the hoist bearing.

4. Plate ring weight sensor: As shown in the figure below, it can protect the plate and install it on the hoisting mechanism and both ends of the wire rope, and monitor the lifting weight through the tension of the plate ring.

In addition, there are three pulley weight sensors, S-type weight sensors, cylindrical weight sensors, etc. When selecting models, pay attention to the parameters of the weight sensor type, size, range, and signal line length.
