Weite assists the construction of the Jinhai Bridge- the world's widest road-rail dual-use cable-stayed bridge!

From 2021 onwards, in Zhuhai, Guangdong, the Weite dynamic weighing management system escorts the 3,600-ton "Bridge Seagull" crane ship and help the construction of the Jinhai Bridge, the world's widest road-rail dual-purpose cable-stayed bridge!

Zhuhai Intercity Jinhai Bridge starts from Hengqin New District in Zhuhai, crosses the Modaomen waterway of Xijiang River, and ends at Zhuhai Airport East Road. It is a key control project of the second phase of Zhuhai Intercity. For the first time, the bridge adopts a multi-tower rigid frame system road-rail dual-purpose cable-stayed bridge structure. The main span is a four-tower cable-stayed bridge. The whole bridge is 1369 meters long and 49.6 meters wide. The middle is a two-way intercity railway with a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour. It is a two-way six-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

3600 ton "Bridge Seagull" crane ship

 

The bridge tower adopts a four-column steel tower. The tower is located in the middle of the bridge deck. The tower is 106.8 meters high. The lifting weight of the entire steel tower is 2,800 tons, which is equivalent to about 2,000 cars being hoisted at the same time, and then rotated. The crane ship "Seagull" lifted the whole bridge by 110 meters and precisely aligned it with the top surface of the steel box girder. The alignment deviation was calculated in millimeters, which was the most difficult part of the whole bridge construction.

During the construction process, the posture of the lifting process was like an "air ballet". In order to ensure safety, Weite mainly escorted the "Bridge Seagull" crane ship this time. In this project, Weite specially tailored a dynamic weighing management system for this "ballet dancer", which not only meets the load safety protection of the crane, but also improves the lifting accuracy and maximizes the work of a single hook. It can also record, count and report the workload according to work shifts, ships, equipment and time, which speeds up the process of information management.

Important nodes in the construction of Jinhai Bridge

On February 19, the first steel tower of the Jinhai Bridge was hoisted in place.

On March 17, the second steel tower was hoisted into place.

On August 25, the third steel tower was hoisted into place.

 

The construction of the bridge started in April 2018. At present, the erection of the steel box girder on the top of the four main tower piers has been completed. 51 pier body designs have been completed, 46 of which have been completed; 48 continuous rigid frame beams have been completed; more than 80% of the steel beam manufacturing of the whole bridge has been completed. The bridge is expected to open to traffic in 2023.

 

Zhuhai City to Zhuhai Airport Intercity Rail Transit Project The Hengqin to Zhuhai Airport section is located in Zhuhai City. This project is an important part of the rail transit network in the Pearl River Delta and an important passenger passage between the Mainland and the Pearl River Delta to connect with Hong Kong and Macau. As one of the important east-west passages in Zhuhai, the Jinhai Highway Bridge will connect Zhuhai Airport and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge after completion, and it is also the most important transportation hub in Hengqin New Area. By then, it will only take 10-15 minutes from Jinwan to Hengqin, and only 25 minutes from Zhuhai Airport to Gongbei, which will greatly shorten the traffic time between the main urban area and the western urban area.
